Realtors® follow a strict Code of Ethics that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, gender, national origin, or sexual identity. And as a Realtor®, you likely come across people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, all with the same goal: to find a place to call home.
We think of the Code of Ethics as a given: easy to say we shouldn’t discriminate against anyone, and even easier to believe we are not because our intention is to treat everyone fairly and equitably. However, the reality is that human biology can get in the way of the best intentions, without us even realizing it.
Building Empathy is a self-guided, on-demand video course investigating the scientific bases of empathy and how we can
each develop our own empathy further. Throughout this course,
